So 2,200 homes going up bang goes my view.

They needed to start before the end of May, or licenses would have expired.

Disappointing but they are building everywhere, must be selling them.

News doesn't travel fast round here, in the UK everyone would have known all over social media the same day as the hearing it was granted. 

Hello, the council in Orihuela is a disgrace for Orihuela Costa!  They should have stopped this project and beautified the area as a park for the inhabitants of OC.

The excuse that they could not stop it based on pressure from the developers lawyers I believe would be from corruption!!

Support the local party Independencia Para Orihuela Costa (IPOC).  They work for a break from Orihuela Municipal to create OCs own Municipality.l

Yes, those people who can vote, please do so this Sunday 28th May. It is PIOC Partido Independente Orihuela Costa. They are not politicians, just people who care about our coast. Once they have access to council meetings, they can find out where the money is being spent. No figures are published by Orihuela. In the long term, they will fight to gain full independence for OC, so that we can manage our own community. PIOC was set up at great time and expense by people who live here and do not want to see this beautiful place ruined by money grabbing politicians. PLEASE VOTE THIS SUNDAY 😎

I was over last week and I was thinking the same thing. I hope it's not high rise like Punta prima. It's ruined the views.

I agree, think how much strain 2,200 properties are going to put on local services. They are already at breaking point but still they keep building. We need everyone who is entitled to vote to do so this Sunday 28th May. Don't think that your vote won't count, every vote is important if we are ever going to see Orihuela Costa back to it's former glory.

Over 2000 homes is not houses the plots not big enough.

The roads can’t cope with the volume of traffic now, what on earth are the planners thinking?  It’s an absolute disgrace.  Pure greed.  Sadly, after a while, the buildings will be up and the lovely view a long, forgotten memory  

I   pass  by  this area this   morning while out walking  and  Yes  sadly  it  seems  as if  Construction  of  buildings  is imminent   as  seen some  small  Construction  machinery  on site working  away.
