Anybody got any suggestions how to get a DHL delivery from Alicante? We can’t ring their 902 call centre from a mobile (blocked) and we have no car. They require our ID so would need to accompany someone and taxi will be extortionate cost. Apparently they tried to deliver but never rang us to let us know so we were obviously out! Rubbish service.

DHL are usually very efficient, you’ve obviously had an unfortunate experience. If you go online they have a huge website, head office for Spain based Barcelona; they have contact facilities and various telephone numbers.

We had a huge mixup last year due to my own stupidity in arranging for something to be sent to PO Box, to which of course they may. Not deliver. They could not have been more helpful. Local depot rang me and arranged to come to house address the next day. Then had a second problem with further delivery which involved contacting Barcelona - again very helpful.

So do suggest you try the contacts online, they will usually try to help.

Our main problem is incorrect tracking number and we are unable to call any of their DHL 902 numbers. They never call us back and it’s so frustrating.

The only way I can make contact is via websites as my mobile will not connect me to 902 numbers (call centre I think) and every number I am given begins with 902. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........

I understand your frustration but taking the emotion out of the situation you have to understand that delivery couriers are under no obligation to call customers prior to delivery nor do they promise to do so, if they were to then it would inevitably cause delays for everyone and result in fewer deliveries per day potentially upsetting all.

Phone Numbers are usually requested for drivers to get directions if necessary so if DHL were were able to find you without a call then it's hardly their fault that you were out when they attempted delivery.

If the tracking number is wrong then that is something you need to take up with the retailer, up to and including demanding a full refund for non performance.

They were given precise instructions to call us because we live in a gated community and they failed to comply. They have constantly misquoted the tracking number, omitting vital digits, given conflicting answers, incorrect information, incorrect depot locations. Not impressed and would never use them again. Still no delivery.

After several emails, web forms, phone calls to DH for the last 2 days, complaining about their poor service, we finally located the parcel and took delivery yesterday. They rang me as instructed but still managed to get the address wrong and I had to redirect them.
