https://www.connexionfrance.com/French-news/Essential-reasons-list-for-visiting-France-from-UK-to-be-extended

However, at the moment this scenario is not listed as a compelling reason.

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/france/entry-requirements and then use the link to the French gov website.

Hi Pete,

if your flying then no issues if you are fully vaccinated. Spain have not imposed any travel restrictions on UK citizens other than having to be fully vaccinated.

If you want to drive via France then it is not clear that you will be allowed through at the moment. If driving is your preference your best option would be to travel via ferry to Northern Spain, that would avoid the risk of being refused entry by the French authorities.

If it is not urgent that you travel you could wait to see if the French authorities lift restrictions on UK citizens soon. Germany has recently lifted restrictions they had put in place a few weeks ago and it's possible that France may follow suit.

Rgds,

Aitch.

You are ok to travel to Spain for any reason as long as you stick to the 90/180 rule and have the correct paperwork. There are no restrictions on movement yet here in Spain.

Hi Pete,

further to my last post - the French government yesterday discussed easing the travel restrictions currently imposed on UK citizens travelling into France by road, no date yet but at least it is now being discussed.
