I have an Apartment in Playa Flamenca and I will be over in December

I don't have Air Con so cannot use this for Heating, What would be the best way and most cost efficient way for heating if needed while I am there?

Thanks

Sharon

You can purchase 400 watt panel heaters In Leroy Merlin.  Econo heaters I think they are called.  Usually around €85 each but they had some on offer called Core for €50 recently so may still have those available.  Can be left on all the time if need be, just hang on an internal wall and plug into a normal socket.  You can also paint them to any colour you want but they come in white.

Just be a little bit careful. Air con to heat is really efficient and uses little electricity. However most other forms of electric heaters use a lot of juice and if you are on a smart meter with a low tariff your leccy will trip out all the time. The ones described above are ok but if you look at oil filled rads and ones similar they pull between 1500-2000kw which on a 3.5 tariff will trip you out

Hi have you thought about calor gas heaters ,they are really good,we live in a villa and we use one of these they don't cost a lot to run,you buy your first cylinder from the petrol station .then when empty take it back and buy a other, cost fir replacement cylinder about 11-15 euros.

We use this too. We have an appartment and it gets warm enough. We only use this from december to match. Electricity is very expensive in Spain and this costs hardly nothing

Hi Sharon . I use the gas heater in my apartment. Very good and cheap plus you can move it around when you want to. Nigel.

Regarding the econo heaters, I put 5 into my 3 bed Julia in La Marina last Christmas, although good as a background heat, and they do keep the chill off the building you may still need a main source of heating.  Just be aware that each gas cylinder can produce approximately 9ltrs of water, so it is important that you ensure that you have adequate ventilation, otherwise the next time you are out you could have mould problems. Have you checked out getting an air con unit installed?  try Don De at the entrance to quesada, or look up an aircon installer plenty advertised on the forum sites.
