I am looking to replace our current electric oven and hob and I am wondering if it is as easy as changing them back home in england?

I've just done this. Was going to fit it myself, but Euronics offered to fit it for buttons as I bought it from them

If you purchase from a Euronics store and not on line it's included in the price and they take the old items away, ours was done in minutes.

Yep. I went into the one by me in El Galan. They only install on certain days which if you are there for a week or more won't be a problem.
