Hi I am looking info on a will change and have had a quote of roughly 4-5k from psi consultants, Has anybody had any experience with this and could recommend someone local to look after us regarding this,

Any additional advice welcome,

Setting up a will revoking any other previous costs less than 100,- including registration making it unappealable. Any notary public will do this.

Hello

As a new grandparent, some years ago, I enquired about a will update (codicil) with a lawyer. but was told this is not possible in Spain and a new will had to be made, which I eventually did in Torrevieja.

Hi Gerard

I think someone is taking you for a ride with those figures. Perhaps your circumstances are differrent to the average man in the street but I don't think you will be charged much more than we paid with a highly recommended notary in Almoradi. We did our wills a few years back with this notary:-

He speaks excellent English, and his receptionist too, both very amiable.

The fee for this incl many emails with our chosen bequests etc, drawing up the will and an appointment to sign it was 57€ each. Inflation maybe a little more now but its under 5years ago so not that much more. He has been recommended by many.

Like Spain, a new will has to be drawn up if you wish to add or amend anything in the UK, as we did that too same time, but we got those free as we are leaving majority of our assets to charity so we used the "free wills month", October then.

We had a long journey from Villena but was worth it, hopefully you are nearer and it's only 1 journey.

I totally agree with using the notary in Almoradi. They are excellent and don't rip you off.

We used them about 6 years ago and couldn't fault them.

Hi there,

Just completed a Spanish Will €90 and a UK will ( both required if you still have assets or family in UK) by THY WILL BE DONE in Quesada for my friend ( I helped)

Someone’s tearing you up at that price !
