Hi Kim,

I do like that phrase "a younger friend, 84"!!

I believe the UK strategy is dictated by the current situation with regards to the highly infectious strain that is widespread in the UK at the moment. Giving some protection to many is seen as better than giving half as many fuller protection. Only time time will tell if this approach works. I don't see any government pressure to follow one path or another, it seems to me to that in this instance the government are following scientific guidance.

The level of vaccination rollout in the UK is impressive and I hope it continues.

Rgds,

In the U.K. we are very fortunate that vaccinations are being carried day and daily. It’s actually happening and naturally everyone wants to get theirs, it’s human nature. We are still in January and what a start to a new year. People in Spain are also being vaccinated which is wonderful news.  Now we hear that Spain is including non residents and all people who aren’t on receipt of free health care which is a massive relief.

Bit by bit, we are moving forward. Those of you who are worrying about tourists must accept that everyone entering the country will be Covid-19 free as they will have been tested before arriving.

Yes, we are fortunate here that the vaccine rollout is going so strong, reported on the BBC that 478000 vaccinations were given yesterday!

Think the whole year will be canceled the way things are going. Last March I thought we would have been in a better position than we are now.

Hello Grannyrose, Where have you heard that Spain is including non residents and all people who aren’t on receipt of free health care. How would that work? Any information would be gratefully received. Thanks.

I read it on the Talk Quesada forum. Somebody put a link on and many people have gone on line and already received a number and a health centre tat will include them.   Check it out.

Hi Teaeff,

Residents with private health insurance are included in Spain's vaccine programme - see ldp's post about how to register for a temporary SIP:

Covid vaccine and PHI

I've seen nothing to suggest that non-residents will be included - in fact, I've previously posted an article which states that non-residents are not included.  Their temporary SIPs became void on 1 January 2021.  Any non-residents currently in Spain have to leave the country no later than 30 March 2021 anyway.

Kind regards,

Kim

Thanks for a quick reply Grannyrose. I have already tried what you are suggesting but it flags up as a scam. The site requires a lot of personal information that shouldn’t be volunteered on line, but thanks for trying to help anyway.

I’ve just checked and it’s included in the post VACCINATION LIST?    Check it for yourself.

Hi Grannyrose,

I've just searched TQ for "Vaccination List" and couldn't find it.  As you can, it would be more helpful if you could just add the link to your post please.

Many thanks,

Kim
