Just bringing this to everyone’s attention regarding the lastest scam. Numerous people of different nationalities holding clipboards claiming they are hard of hearing. They will ask you to sign their petition and donate a small amount of money to “their charity” these scammers are NOT hard of hearing and there is NO charity.

They are operating around the markets particularly in the car parks and they are pretty easy to spot as they wave the clipboard at people to get their attention! They are also looking at cars to target which have anything on display to steal. 2 weeks ago they were at Playa Flamenca market (Saturday) and Zoco market (Sunday) Last week they were at Cabo roig market (Thursday) and Lemon tree market (Sunday)

Please everyone be aware of these people and don’t give them the time of day. Also make sure your car is locked and there are no valuables etc on display. Nicola.

Many thanks for the info and advice, there is always some scumbags trying to take advantage and it puts people off as they don't know what is a genuine Charity and what is not.

Hi Nicola

Thanks for that. I'm going to put this on face book. The more people know the better it is.

Thanks again Lorraine

Conning people out of money under false pretences is bad enough ,but breaking into vehicles,  plus stealing contests is a step too far in my book.

I hope this kind of think is nipped in the bud by the Authorities ,and it wouldn't be unkind to hope they are caught red handed by their victims who maybe could effectively advise the scum of the error of their ways .

Nicola, Thanks for posting. Forearmed is Forewarned.

LeckyLes.

This is not a latest scam and has been going on for years, but your right to post about it even if it is to remind people.

These people should be scooped up in a van, given a hiding, and then dumped at the side of the road. Sounds extreme but it's the only way they're going to learn.

Thanks Nicola. As I wear hearing aids and can sympathise with the deaf, I could well have been scammed by this. These people really are the lowest of the low. They would probably sell their own grandmother! If I see them I will definitely ring the police.
