Reviews Please. Has anyone used 5 Real Estate to sell their property ?

It’s the solicitor who is the most important person to check out. All an estate agent does is market the property and if you can sell it for that price then great! A good solicitor will ensure the transaction goes smoothly.

this is all lies, they charge more than 995, they pay the sales staff 1,000 commission just for selling the property plus 30 euros for listing, so if they only charge 995 for selling, how can they afford to pay the staff 1030 euros commission?

I worked there for 2 weeks until i found out how they worked and then left, basically they stack up charges and make you use their in house conveyancing team, so they can hide the charges.

Hi oggmonstor1, can you elaborate as to the why you think it's lies? I currently have our property on the market with 5re and contract is €999 to sell or €1998 if we use our own solicitor. This is €3000-€4000 below the cheapest other agents we had to quote us(4 in total). What difference does it make to the seller how much they pay their agents. And if they are paying their agents €1030 per property sold why would you leave? Looking for advice.

Hi, We have used 5 Real Estate to sell our apartment and up to now have had a good service.  We have used our own solicitor and were not forced into using theirs.  The cost is 1999 euros to use our own solicitors. We put ours on the market in October and have now had an offer and a deposit has been paid.   All going through now but will take a bit longer because of the military clearance which is needed now and estimated 4 months wait time.

So up to now we have had a good service and very pleased with them.

so if you only pay 995 for the service, yet they are paying us 1030 in commission, think about it, how are they making a profit?

when an agent has their OWN in house legal team, it makes it easier for the agent to hide fees, the truth will come out soon!!!

I strongly recommend against using 5 star ,they are an absolute joke should be 1 star.i employed them to sell my house,this was a nightmare from start to finish. They showed potential buyers around my property, only to leave windows open on one occasion, solarium lights left on on another resulting in a 160 euro bill,but the worst of it was on my last visit they urinated in loo dididnt flush it the stench when I opted door was horrendous. 

It gets better they force you in yo using there solicitors at a 1000euros because if you don't you have to pay an additional 1000 euros anyway if you choose to go elsewhere. 

Thankfully my sale went through  4 wks ago but I am still paying  community fees because the incompetent layer they employed didn't cancel the direct debits as she should have done !!

I perfectly agree with you! I don’t recommend this agency at all! I was about to buy a property with them and some days before our meeting after I had already contacted a private lawer ( not one of theirs) and asked the bank the money, when I called them to anticipate the meeting, they told me they had already sold the property to another person! Do not trust them!
