Hi Everyone

I read a post on here earlier 're a flu bug that's going round pf. I'm a bit concerned as I'm coming out tomorrow but as I have underlying health problems I tend to pick up anything that's going round. If it's really an epidemic I'm wondering if I should postpone.

Can you advise please.

Julie

Hi Kim

Thanks for your message. It's good to know it's not as bad as I thought on reading the post's. It will be good to escape the cold here for a while I have got a cold I've not been able to shake off but i've still been up & around. That Spanish flu was pretty horrific albeit 100 years ago.

I hope you & your husband are both well now. It will be nice to be back in the warmth for a well.

Best wishes

Julie

I was reading an article in the Información newspaper this week about the number of people with flu. I can't remember the figures, but think it was about 130 people out of every 10,000, so the odds are in your favour.

I read in the  Murcia news that reported casa of Flu this week were 15% down on the figures from the previous week. Possible reasons given was the higher than normal temperatures over the past week.

Correction to what I said above - I missed out a zero.

Yesterday's Información newspaper said that the number of reported cases has gone up to 200 per 100,000 people. It also said that 90% of those cases were people who hadn't had the flu jab.
