Hi all

Can anyone advise me if the Spanish government has withdrawn SIP cards   (Spanish health card)Very recent news I believe as put on facebook by CAB

My daughter has just advised me of comments on facebook (which I am not on) that people under pensionable age can no longer apply for one.

I was told after you have been a resident for one year ,you could apply for one and drop your private Health insurance (which is expensive when you are paying for two people and only receiving a small private NHS pension)

Thank you  .

If it's on Facebook then it must be true - not!

Does that really need saying?

And BTW the CAB FB page is a closed group so without joining can't be viewed.

Show us something freely and directly from the CAB, or other authoritative source, or a verifiable case of refusal.

Absent at least one of those further discussion is pointless.

Under 65 is cheaper than convenio especial but over 65 its 150/60 per month so private is cheaper. Not even sure if its still available to new people. Google it.

Thank you  Sophie for your reply.

I will look into when my daughter comes to see me as she is able to speak spanish and will be able to help me with translation.

Hopefully they will still be doing it.😊
