I live in La Zenia and agree that there is no straightforward walking route to the Playa Flamenca Commercial Centre. Any way you go needs to avoid the N332 so involves a few detours around the streets. The best I can come up with is on the side of the N332 where the Deutsche Bank is located ( use the footbridge to get to that side ),walk alongside the main road, past the Church, along Calle Paz Zen to the end, go left and follow the walkway down the steep hill onto Calle Violetas, use the underpass and go past the Mercadona roundabout on Calle Pablo Picasso, then right which leads to Calle Niagra. Personally, I would either appoint a nominated driver or take a taxi.

Many thanks John. Now to decide where to book our holiday, Playa Flamenca or La Zenia. La Zenia looks to have more things to do with our kids, the beach looks really nice and La Zenia Boulevard looks ideal for children. Will have to look for apartments in both places and way up our options.

Avoid being too close to the Commercial centres of Cabo Roig, La Zenia or Playa Flamenca as there can be problems with noise particularly late at night, indeed, some of the Cabo Roig venues are open to 04.00 or 07.00 and then you will have the people leaving. That said they are all great areas with plenty for everyone, enjoy.

Hi Jamie, we're near the top of the market street near Pablos etc and we walk everywhere - over to Vilamartin; down to Cabo Roig marina, etc so I guess it depends how much you all like walking and how hot it is!! Hope you find somewhere that works for you all.

It's quite straightforward, walk from la Zenia boulevard down to the crossroad where the market is on a Saturday, keep walking straight past the Celtic Isle which will be on your left as far as the next crossroads where there is a corner cafe/bar called the Sunny Corner. Take a right here walk down the hill, follow the road round to the left. The Commercial centre is up the steps on your right. We walk it in 20mins. Taxi rank at steps if you've had too much vino to walk home! 😜

Sorry, Celtic Isle will be on your right. 😊

You are right if you are coming from the Boulevard but that is not strictly speaking La Zenia.

If you are holidaying in the area then both Playa Flamenca and La Zenia have plenty going on.  The Boulevard is located only just into La Zenia from Playa Flamenca, both have great beaches, both have lots of restaurants and bars and both have supermarkets and other shops.  If you don't know where the boundary between the two are you wouldn't really realise where one ends and the other begins!

With regards to walking to Playa Flamenca Commercial centre there is a cut-through from near Mercadonna (opposite the new development being built) to Calle Niagara that saves a lot of time, but it does depend on whereabouts in La Zenia you are starting from as to the best route.
