Hi we are coming to Playa Flamenca again in June next year and considering early October can anyone advice us of the average temperatures as regards good walking conditions for that month

It all depends on what sort of walking you do, and what time of day you do it. June tends to be low thirties, whereas October is low thirties.
However, the weather in June is usually quite settled, and there should be plenty of bird life and wild flowers. In October there's the risk of rain, at some times torrential.

Thanks Jim, yes we stayed for the whole of June this year and found it ideal but we weren’t sure about October think we shall chance it !, any idea when St Javier airport is actually shutting?

It will be closed by Jan 15th, according to the Spanish press.

Hi Jim, is it closing for the winter or for good , tried to keep up with supposed new airport opening at Corvera , don't get a lot of news cover here in the UK.We are using San Javier in Oct and was planning to use again early next year

San Javier is definitely closing for good, and will likely end up as an aircraft museum.
Whether Corvera will be better for you all depends on where you have property in Spain. Personally, getting to Corvera will be more difficult.

That's a shame , we are looking at buying aground Play Flamenca area, never used San Javier before , hopefully Corvera will eventually be OK once it's been up and running for a while , if not it'll be back to Alicante I suppose
