Has anyone done any comparisons of house and contents companies? My solicitor three years ago put me with BSSG but I'm not happy with Banco Sabadell and I'm moving banks so time to look around.
I want to make it clear that I'm really looking for users experiences here not just offers to sell me insurance which is what I have mostly received.

Remember to give a good months notice when cancelling or changing any insurance or contract, informing whoever/whatever that you will be cancelling the direct debit or payment and make sure you inform your bank or payment provider.

It won't be hard to find a better insurer than Sabadell. As an insurance agent, I can recommend you a few to start with: Allianz, AXA, Mapfre, Liberty.
However, it's not only the insurer you go with, but also the coverage that you contract which needs to be tailored to your needs, so my main advise is that you go through an insurance professional to take care of your concerns and receive accurate advise, from the moment you take out the policy to the time you need assistance for a claim.
