Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if i have to use the Bank's Mortgage Insurance Company as it is really expensive.

I am with BMN (now Bankia) and i wondered has anybody come across this or has any info.

No problem at all we moved here in September Abaco has a terrific website ... you get 50 Euro of the first year and 50 Euro for whoever recommends you not bad pretty reputable company...

Hi

We went with same bank as you. We thought it was expensive but we hadn't time to go over and shop around.

Do not get their insurance it was 1,500€ a rip off and the following year they took the same amount out of our bank again as we hadn't put in writing 3 weeks prior that we did not want them to insure again.

We have recently taken out a mortgage and were told we had to suck it for the first year. It is extortionate but apparently it is quite a complicated exercise to do it before taking out the mortgage and it has been diarised for good time next year to swap it.
