My name is Jackie Dalziel and I'm coming over to Playa Flamenca in April as I'm looking to expand my business.
Who doesn't like candles??
I goal is to buy a holiday home here eventually so it made sense to bring Darceys, my business over first.
I have two kids just about to turn 14 & 15 and they love Costa Blanca. I'm nearing 45 and I'm also married to Ronnie, who is a baker.
I hope to see some of you soon

Before thinking of setting up any business it's essential to have a close look at market structures, customer behaviour, consumer protection regulations, competitors etc. Spain is different in so many ways.

Absolutely. Most of my competitors are online businesses. I'm also looking at regulations etc as I understand it will be completely different to regulations here in the UK

There are quite a few candle businesses here. There is a very famous one just north of Ondara (admittedly some way from your area), producing very high quality candles. It caters to the expensive end of the private trade and counts many hotels and restaurants amongst it’s clientele; as well as spa and health facilities. I understand that most of it is specialised hand made product.
There is also at least one Valencian business (exporting to UK!) specialising in scented candles and so on, their products quite widely available locally.
It would be worth looking them up online, sorry, can’t remember their names, but a little research should return results! The information may give you some further ideas?
