Ok, ive been here 4 months, handed by CV in to every Estate Agent, bar, restaurant, shop, emailed everywhere, had a trial in one restaurant wont name but was a terrible experience, tried kitchen assistant and was subjected to a Gordon Ramsey wannabe and then found what i thought was my dream job back in Admin with a customer contact vibe for an Estate Agent, when on returning from my Mothers Mass in Ireland i had a visit from my boss saying they had found someone with better skills than me and i was no longer neede. No contract signed so that was that.

Im a hard worker and im trying so hard to make it in Spain, i need to work, i loved doing admin again, please if there is anyone out there that can help me to achieve my goal please do, im trying so hard to stay positive, not easy but then if it were easy everybody would be on here bearing their soul.

Thanks for reading.

Hi, I remember you posting here when looking for a job and your delight when you secured one. Your experience of an employer is typical of many here on the Costa. Sorry for your situation and I can only offer you my best wishes. Keep your head up, something good will be around the corner.

I am so sorry, it must be such a difficult time for you, I like many others were just so delighted that you met your goal so feel for you in your disappointment. You are and will continue to be an inspiration to others on the forum.

Please don't give up remember "when the going gets tough the tough get going".

Tell me you are either fluent Spanish or are taking intensive lessons, with all the spare time you have. Try and get some experience, somewhere. Volunteer so you have something local to put on your CV. Take any job you can get. It is easier to get a job when you are working.

It is a very tough job market, where employees are treated very badly in some cases, but keep trying, you will get there.

Hello Gerri what a shame about the job don’t think they do contracts here .... Anyway there is a job at the top of the page not the best but a start .... Just a thought someone was asking about supermarket home deliveries on here no one has answered them .... maybe a new business venture ? Just a thought 🤔

Good luck 😉

Many employers will give a Contract but in effect it is not worth the paper it is written on, they are ruthless in dismissing staff knowing the Contract does not offer the protection it would under U.K. Employment Laws.
