Hi I'm in a dilemma.

I'm a single 40 something guy and I bought a property just under 2 years ago and want to move over permanently. I have another home in England which I've been told would sell for 140000€. Could I be able to live on this amount.

Thanks

I think  that would provide a very comfortable life for a year or so, is that how long you were thinking?

With the abysmal interest rates these days, you'd be spending capital, so it would all depend on what your outgoings are. You also need to factor in the cost of taking out private health insurance.

It also depends on what financial requirements the national police and foreigners office insist on post-Brexit for residencia applications.

Kim. I own a 3 bed in playa flamenca and I'll have my own car and jetski. Also going to have a pool  built. Basically I'll have all my toys there lol

Hello could you please tell me what a FISCAL RESIDENT is as we are hoping to take early retirement too at the age of  51 after selling in the uk and allowing us to purchase a house being left  with hopefully enough to see us through to taking early private pensions to see us through to state pension. What does the capital gains tax of 19% mean is that if we still had our house in the uk and brought in spain then sold our uk house whilst  living in spain so if we made 100, 000 as an example are you saying we would have 23% deducted from our 100,000 and  who takes it and am I right in thinking if we sell in the uk and have only one property it costs around 10% for tax and moving costs on a 100,000 property in Spain.

Thanks

JanIan
