Hello everyone. We are hoping to be living in playa flamenca next year and would like any advice on schools for English children and what schools are the best in the area. My son is 11 years old and about to go to secondary school. Any advice would be appreciated.  Thankyou

Cheryl

OK, I totally stand to be corrected here as I  have never had school age children in Spain let alone in the Playa Flamenca area but the choices seem to be between very expensive International schools, online learning or local Spanish schools.
If you choose a Spanish school and he doesn't speak Spanish, he is going to need extra help until he is able to participate in classes with others of his own age. The advantages will be that he will be in a much better situation to find work in Spain when the time comes and he will have a much wider circle of friends. You also have at least 5 months to get a decent grounding in the language.
Sorry I can't help more but maybe this can be a start, if nothing else.

Hi there is an excellent new Secondary  in Playa Flamenca your son will love it the only barrier could be the language but I would look to getting him one to one lessons prior to coming out to live and if he has the basics the school will really help him to progress good luck on your move x
