Depends on what sort of location you are looking for
- do you intend to have a car ?
- do you prefer to use buses ?
- how often will you want to get to/from the airport ?
- do you need to be walking distance from services/amenities ?
- is close proximity to beach, golf etc important to you ?
- are you happy with a flat or townhouse, or do you want a villa ?
- are steep hills/lots of steps likely to be a current/future problem ?

Hi like Kelvin said, what is it you want, we rented an apartment for 6 months in Torrevieja Town and looked at places in all directions, we wanted to be near everything but not in it, so if we want music shops beach etc it would all be within a flat walking distance, (we are thinking about when we are older no steep hills or steps etc we are 57 and 62) ,where we are is quiet but we have a quite a few people around us that live here. We also didn't want anyone above or below us we wanted a house or bungalow. We didn't have a big budget but found everything we were looking for in a 2 bed bungalow in Playa Flamenca, just off the Saturday Market Street, we have lived here a year now and have made friends with some lovely Swedish people and a lot of Expats. There is always some thing going on in the winter months, La Floirida has a good all year round vibe, If you want more Spanish you are better to look to the smaller villages. Hope this helps. If you need any more info just Private message me.

Hi Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, La Florida, Los Altos (Orhuela Costa) around this area has a great selection of bars, restaurants, the large Zenia Boulevard for all kinds of shopping. A large community of ex Pats from the UK, Scandinavia, Germany etc. Plenty of social activities for all people. People are very friendly and you soon feel "at home". Hope you find the ideal spot. 😎😎🍷🍷
