We did the same last year at Villamartin. It was nice ish during the day. However the house was cold even with air con units blowing heat. We really didn't enjoy it and won't be doing it again. If you live out there you install central heating. Spanish homes are not built for cold and are difficult to heat and keep hot.

Don't be put off. The bars and restaurants were busy. That was a good thing. It just wasn't nice being cold. It took me back to my childhood living in a house with no central heating. If you're only in an apartment it may be easier to heat and keep warm.

It’s freezing, believe me. We live here and I’m often asked what the temperature will be like. Usually around 20 degrees from midday but as soon as the sun goes down around 5pm is freezing. Mornings are around 6-8 degrees, this morning on the school run it was 6 degrees and very cold. We have the log fire burning from around 4.30pm right through until midnight and the house is still cold! My advice is to bring plenty of warm clothes and get as much heat into your house as you can from around 4pm. Hope this helps. Nicola :-)
