Hi  I am new to this forum and will soon be moving out to Playa Flamenca.  Can anyone please let me know the best place to look for a microwave and any other small electrical items that we may need when we get settled.   Thank you.

I bought a few electrical items in Al Campo in the La Zenia Boulevard. Their prices seemed on a par with other supermarkets in the area. They have everything from mini hair tongs to 50" TVs in there. You can park up the top by Conforama, come down the escalator, its not too far to carry the items back up then.

Hope this is a help. I must be honest I have also purchased an electric fan from one of the numerous Chinese Supermarkets but have yet to use it ( back over end of September) so will see how that fares, it really wasn't much cheaper than in Al Campo !

We only bought in June, and are so looking forward to coming back out to visit again.

Hi Gilmak.    Thanks for your reply to my question and sorry for the delay in replying with my thanks.  We are busy packing up a house at the moment and there are not enough hours in the day!  Roll on relaxing in the sun (and not the terrible rainy weather we have at the moment here in the UK). Anyway many thanks for your info.  We have been to the boulevard on several occasions and will have a look around when we get out there.  We have just bought in Playa Flamenca and will be coming out in September, so a "shopping trip" to the boulevard is a must.   Hope you don't have to wait too long for your next visit.  Best wishes

We bought in June and will also be coming out for a visit at end of September. This awful UK weather this summer has made me really look forward to the visit. We bought a few streets away from the Saturday Market.

Don't plug that electric fan in. Buying electrical goods from the Chinese is like entering the lottery. Seen many sad stories on " Fake Britain " program on TV.

Thanks everyone for your feedback on my query.  We will definitely be checking out Al Campo when we arrive.  It seems to be pretty popular with most people we have communicated with in one form or another.  Can't wait for some Spanish sun.  Fed up with UK grey, dull skies and loads of rain.  I think I blinked and missed summer.  Best wishes to all.
