Does anyone know how to find out the name of the manager of a bank.  I have looked on the internet and cannot find anything.

I have been locked out of my bank account since October and have got nowhere trying to get access back.

First I tried to go through their info. centre by message, but got no response, I tried twice. I looked for an email address of the branch, couldn't find anything, I emailed London to see if they had an email address and they forwarded off my message to the branch, still no response.  So I tried myself to email, first time no response, 2nd time someone did reply and said they have reset it and try to log on. I still couldn't so I emailed them back and they said they couldn't do anything and that I needed to go into the branch.

I would except I live in Canada, I send money there every month to pay my bills, so like to check to make sure money arrives and what is taken out.

I thought about faxing to the bank manager if I could find their name.

Anyone got any ideas.

Phone the customer service number or the branch. I know you're in Canada and that would cost a bit to do but it would probably sort the problem.

I would say you're wasting your time trying to deal with the branch.

Sabadell have two 24 hour help lines so I'd be calling them.

Hi Georgie, you appear to have tried lots of ways to make contact with the Bank to sort this out ,so one suggestion now could be to consider engaging the services of a Spanish lawyer based close to your branch , ask if they can remotely arrange for you a power of attorney , obtain an estimate of costs, and let them sort it for you .

Good luck !

My current mobile phone is probably not on file, I opened the account in 2005. If I did give it to them would have been with a company I no longer use.  I changed it a while ago to a better one so they probably have the old number, if they even have it.

Someone on that info line told me to get a friend to go to the bank and get the code or whatever I need. Isn't that less secure than sending it to my address they have on file which I asked to do or my email address which hasn't ever changed.

I do have a lawyer in Spain, they pay my property taxes (or whatever they call them) for me every year and the same ones who did the purchase of the property.

In my mind this should have been very easy to resolve, but I guess not !

I am non resident with a key account and was assigned an assistant when it was opened whom I could contact if necessary. I have been able to arrange account and home insurance closure through contact with him. I believe this service is offered to customers with this account. The person is called an active manager and I was contacted initially by email to inform me of the service then contacted by phone to inform me of the service and introduction to the manager. This is the number I contact him on +3495261609. There are others that I have spoken to on this number so it is not personal to him. There is also an email [email protected]. I have the active managers personal email. The department may be able to tell you if you were assigned one.

Thanks, I don't think I have an assistant, this account was opened so long ago, when I think it was just called SolBank, the only thing I have with me from there is the banking info. IBAN etc. and log in info. and an expired credit card, which I kept because I had it made with a photo of my cat on it :) and I love my cat.

Some lady who said she worked in the branch did email me a few times, but when she couldn't fix it, she gave up and never answered my emails again to advise me further.

You could also try their messaging on Facebook if you have a Facebook account. The have a Facebook page and answer quite quickly. It shouldn't matter how long since you have joined the bank they only have a limited range of accounts.  The Key Account has charges of around 35 euros per quarter fees.  The Expansion Account is free fees at present if you pay 700 euros into the bank each month.  I would presume you have the former account and would be entitled to the Active Manager to support you when you cannot go into the bank.
