The overall costs of buying here are dearer than uk, but the actual solicitor’s fee is only a small part of this. Firstly there is a 10% purchase tax (10% of the price agreed for your property); notary fees, land registry fees and solicitor’s fees. The average rule-of-thumb is between 12 and 13 percent of the purchase price of your property over and above this cost, but the biggest component is the purchase tax.
