Hi, I am coming to punta prima on Saturday and looking to take the train to Valencia early Tuesday 23rd July morning and back early evening on Wednesday 24th July.  Can anyone advise how I can go about this please?

You would have to take the bus to Alicante and then transfer to the train from Alicante to Valencia.

Many thanks - we will organise for a taxi to Alicante Rail station.  Is it better to book tickets online, in advance?

Sorry, I have no experience of using the train so don't know if there is any saving for booking online.

Or you could go across to, say, Orihuela, and get the local train to Alicante.

If you're over 60, you could buy a tarjeta dorada for €6, which would give you a 40% discount on the fares.
