Hi we are moving to Spain in 2021 and are looking into the rellue area, we like the fact its more inland and not too close to the coast etc we want to avoid a high expat area as we want a Spanish lifestyle not a British one.. Hence moving away! Wev read that rellue does have a expat community which is fine as long as its mainly Spanish, can anyone tell me anymore about the town? Is it as traditional as it looks etc. What is the local school like? We have 3 children aged between 5 and 13. We want to be close enough to urbanisation but far enough to escape it all. My husband is a marine engineer in the Royal navy so we are not too worried about work as he's already contacted companies etc. We will have savings to cover us for up to a year, but my husband will secure a job before we all move out there. We also will all learn Spanish before moving. All comments welcome :)

Excellent choice;-) You might want ro consider neighbouring Torremanzanas, we have a holiday house there. The region is lovely and not spoilt by tourism or expat enclaves. Torremanzanas even less so than Relleu (to my humble opinion of course;-). Good luck with your plans!

Thankyou for your reply :) we do love the look of the area... Will visit first though just to be sure. Would you say it's a good area for children? Ours will be 6, 13 and 14.

If you are around on the 20th, there’s a Latin music concert in Torremanzanas;-)

I have no idea as to what good schools there are, as we only go (as oft as Possible) on holiday, but our children have made a lot of friends in the village. They mostly live in places like Mutxamel or Alicante come up for weekends and holidays to come to the numerous fiestas and visit the family. There’s only a primary school in Torremanzanas I’m afraid.

This house is a typical town house, located in one of the most emblematic streets of the town center with little traffic of vehicles and is ideal for taking a chair in summer, typical custom of the Mediterranean mountain villages. Living in a town is a new way of discovering nature, tranquility and the most important thing is the human relationships given to the closeness of all the neighbors, here time seems to stop, there is no hurry , the clock is not the important thing since the bells notify us every hour to any corner of the villa. Its proximity to the beaches of the Costa Blanca make Relleu an ideal place to live while maintaining contact with nature and due to modernity of its services being connected to all the busiest centers in the province in just half an hour. Due to its mild climate we can enjoy the walks in the countryside both in summer and winter, that is due to the benefits of the climate that becomes in soft nothing else the sun appears to wish us good morning.

Thankyou so much, we absolutely love the idea of this area and really hope we can move here. Only issue is there seems to be a high demand in the rental properties here so its wether or not they have any available for when we move out there jan/Feb 2021...we are coming out to visit in october and can't wait to see the place in person :)
