I understand the English requirements but Wales is totally different can any one give a clear breakdown of the Welsh requirements

I’m flying to Malaga end of October

Do I still need to fill in passenger locator forms and proof of vaccinations and  as I understand I still need to purchase a day two test from public health Wales at 86 quid cos the Welsh government are different

Any help is greatly reciev

Yes you still need to fill in the Spanish locator forms and as long as you have proof of double vaccine that’s it to enter Spain.

Coming back into the Uk, I believe at the moment you still have to have a preflight antigen test (lateral flow) within 72 hours of departure and a PCR on day two on your return to Wales and of course you have to fill in the UK locator form.

That could change as the other devolved governments normally follow England and by the end of October you could be on the same footing as England, keep an eye on the Uk gov sites for any up to date information.

Hi i live in spain and was double vaxed here and have the cert .I want to visit the england  and understand i will need a 2 day test

 canthat  be lateral flow ?

would i have to buy this lateral flow test from the UK gov website prior to flying to get the locator number?

Also is the lateral flow acceptable from october 4 or at a later date in the month ?

If you live in Spain you need an antigen or PCR within 72 hours of travel. (I'm sure an older test would likely be spotted and rejected, boarding refused). If you have been double jabbed in Spain you will require to show your EU Covid certificate of vaccination at check in.

To complete the UK Gov locator form 48 hours before arrival in the UK you will need to enter the code from a pre booked 2 day UK  Covid test

To return to Spain you do not need tested but will be required to complete the Spain locator form 48 hours before travel.

From 4am on Monday October 4th the requirement to have a pre-flight test when travelling from Spain to the UK is dropped for the fully vaccinated.. The day2 test in the UK is still required and it needs to be a PCR test until some later date in October.

Note that this is for England, I have not checked on Wales, Scotland, NI.

There is a link on a previous post on this thread that takes you to the UK Gov site explaining the changes and further links to the other 3 countries.

If you are travelling to England before the 4th October then you will need an antigen test as suggested by dinner out within the 72 hrs before departing Spain. and yes you need to book a day2 PCR test from the UK that then allows you to fill in the UK locator form within 48 hrs of arriving.

There is no date for the Lateral flow test instead of a PCR yet, so at the moment you do need a day 2 PCR test.

Take look at Aitches post if you haven’t already. Good luck safe travels.

You can buy a second day PCR test from expert medical for £28 why splash out any more that you have to, hopefully some time in October this will be reduced further and you will only need an antigen test. Safe travels everyone.

is that in the uk?

Yes although they’ve been taken off the gov.Uk approved list they are still legally allowed to sell them and use them for return two day PCR test.£28.

I was under the impression that the government took certain companies off the list because they were fake!  Randox manufacture the tests.
