Don't get me started on the increased tax I am having to pay to rent my property. Many do this to offset the costs of owning a holiday home but it is now far less helpful. I knew what was coming and bought anyway but many who owned prior to Brexit and relied on this income have been hit hard, some being forced to sell often at a significant loss.

I have been waiting 18 months for treatment on the NHS but have now had to get a huge loan to have private treatment just so that I can walk again. So your problem of having 2 houses and early retirement doesn't really wash with me. Oh, and I'm 55 too. Blame whoever you want, lifes a bitch sometimes and you just have to appreciate what you do have.
