Hi Dave, if all went to plan, you will be in Spain now.

Hope all is well.

We were allowed to change our RYR flights without extra charge except  the hold bags, the booked seats and one of the flights had all increased, so we were billed for the extra.

The other flight had actually gone down, but of course one doesn’t get any reduction for that!

Anyway regarding the flight back home, apparently there are still nasty PCR tests to endure.

While Spain is amber, there are 3 PCRs,and "isolation at home" for 10 days I think,

if Spain goes green, still the  3 PCRs but no isolation at home. This might change.

Thats why we have decided that if this still stands in August we won't be coming over.

Please let us know about the airport experience both going out and after you get home.

Take care, sincere regards

Ray & Frances

Hi,

It may have already been answered elswhere; but where can we get pcr tests in & around Campoverde and how much are they? Do they have to be prebooked?

The only other variable I can think of before we come out (at last) is ..... IF they remove all restrictions on 21st June, does that mean no more testing on return to UK? anyone got any info/insight on this?

Thanks

Hi Malcolm,

After checking the rules; it appears that when we return from a green listed country to the UK we only need to do one PCR test, with no quarantine required.

Still seems unnecessary for fully vaccinated travellers to have to do the PCR test.?

Hi Malcolm, the easing of restrictions on 21st June will not change any requirements for travellers returning to the UK. Requirements will only change when a country moves from one colour to another. If Spain move to green then two tests required, one before you travel and one on day 2 after return. No need to self isolate if the tests are negative.

I was hoping that Spain would be added to the green list at the next review (7th June) but that is uncertain from what I have read on the BBC.

Aitch.

Hola from Cocentaina,

Yes all went ok and we have been here since Sunday. As I thought we didn’t need the PCR - fit to fly in Manchester. Showed our Spanish health QR code and that was fine at Alicante. Landed and got into our car in just over 20 minutes - fastest ever at Alicante airport it was like a ghost town.
I’ve booked my test for €40 for coming back for Saturday evening at the IMED in Alcoi. Hope I don’t get the same nurse as I had last time she was brutal 😂.

Then yes the extortionate 2 tests and the trace géstapo when we get back to the UK.

We’re planning coming back out in August too.

Had a great morning sat in a beach Bar drinking coffee people watching on Gandía beach - it was wonderful, right amount of heat, but so quiet.

Hope you both get out in August

Hi Dave’s,

Nice to hear you are enjoying some R&R in the sun, we did briefly here too, 2 days, wow!!

Hope you don’t get the same nurse again, I am chicken when it comes to these swabs. I wish they would change over to the saliva tests instead.

Hope it’s easy at the airports on way back, please let us know when you are back S&S.

Regards

R&F
