We have just seen a large wasp nest (Wasps with the long dangling legs) above our back door and i think there's also a nest under a roof tile at the front of out house too.
Whats the safest and quickest way to deal with this as we have pets.

For the nest above the door, just use an ordinary fly spray and continue spraying for a few seconds until wasps stop emerging. If you also want to zap wasps that are away from the nest, then use Oro or equivalent to kill them when they return.
For nests that you can see but can't reach, most ferrets sell wasp killer sprays that send out a jet which will reach a few metres.
