Advice on NIE numbers and schools

Hi

We are moving over in July 2020 and after some advice on how to apply for our NIE numbers. Is there away of applying from UK? or is it a case of coming over and getting a appointment at the police station? Also , we have 3 children do they need to come with us or can we apply for them ourselves? Any info on NIE numbers would be fab. Thank you

The next question is about schooling, I have 3 children (14, 11, 3 years old) Please could some give me some advice on the local schools? does anybody know if many English students attend. Or if anyone has any experience with their children joining. Im concerned mine will find it hard to merge in as they speak barely any Spanish. Are the schools easily to get hold of for appointments etc, Also the names of the secondary and pre school.

Any other advice would be appreciated

It's much easier to get an NIE in the UK, provided you can travel to the appropriate consulate:

Or you can do the whole thing online from UK which is what we did, which meant the entire hassle of going to London was avoided. All we had to do was to go to a Notary Public in our local small town. The website was something similar to NIEonline; they were extremely efficient, communicated totally by email, replied almost immediately to any query, and when our abogada required the original document, sent it to her offices by registered post.

Yes, it wasn’t the cheapest method, however, to us it was worth it to pay someone to perform this service for us as it avoided train fares, crossing London, appointments at Embassy and so on and so forth; I did it all from the privacy of our own office at home; apart from, as stated earlier, going to a Notary Public for the Apostile paperwork, which was relatively painless and took about half an hour.
