Moving to Rojales, school information

Hi there

I hope someone can help me?

We are hoping to move to Rojales/Benijófar in July this year.

We have family in Gran Alicant and Murcia so do have knowledge of the area but I’m really struggling to find much about the schools and the registration process from here in uk!

We are heading over in late March and are hoping to find a long term rental, sort out our NIE and Padron and register our 4&8 year olds at the local Spanish school whilst we are there! I think we will have a very busy week 😳

Information I’m hoping to find about the schools are:

Can we register them in March?

What are the School hours?

Do the children wear uniform?

What % of children are English at the local schools?

Ps:if anyone knows of any long term let’s Available from March please give me a shout 😄

Hi

No uniform unless it's a private school.

School hours are approx 8.30-14.00,remember they will get around 10-11 weeks summer holidays.

You can register them in March,but,won't start till September.

Very small percentage of children would be British.

There are always rentals available,but,it depends on what you want.

Hello.

There is no School Uniforms in the Rojales Schools.
Around the Rojales-La Marina-San Fulgencio area do have quite a few English and as part of the education law of the Comunitat Valenciana, they give foreign students and pupils separate Spanish Classes every day in school Hours.
Because your children are still in primary school, The school times are usually from around 8/9 to 1/2 in Spring/Summer and in Winter months 8/9 to 4.

Thank you all for your comments, really helpfully 😄

We have now signed a rental agreement for a place in Lo Marabu and will be heading over in May to set ourselves up and register kids etc! We will be moving over properly in June/July!

We are going to apply for our NIE from the uk as it is quicker at the moment apparently 😄

Do you know if we would be under Rojales or Benijófar school? Or is there a choice?

We won’t be over till May so cant register children at school till then! Hoping that will be ok?

My son has mild anxiety/ autism, does anyone have experience of dealing with this situation in Spanish schools?

Looking forward to our new life in Spain 😄
