Hi everyone, another update regarding my NLV 2 year renewal. I was contacted by Alicante and requested to supply evidence of time out of Spain, luckily the 3 trips I made to the UK were with Ryanair and my bookings were saved so I just printed them off, they also wanted a padron that had both our names on and not 2 individual ones so a trip to the town hall was done and padron obtained, they also said I had outstanding tax to pay and luckily I had proof from the bank/Blevins Frank to support this. So,all new paperwork sent and now hopefully we will get our new cards. PLEASE anyone who is coming up for renewal make sure you have kept your flight bookings/ferry bookings and get a joint padron and confirm tax paid. We applied in July and still no new card.

This is new to me, I received my 5 year TIE and thought that was it until then, I've had to be back and forth quite a lot due to family issues and not kept any records, I thought I just had to reapply again in 5 years. To be honest due to wwork and family matters I wasn't really ready to commit at that point but the brexit deadline forced my hand.

Hello Paul

I think you'll find it is classed as  a temporary 1year TIE.... renewed at Year 2 for 2years & again at Year 4 for 2years. Then, at 5yrs  it becomes a permanant TIE.

At each renewal there are several documents you will need to produce to show you are complying with rules etc  like leaving the country as posted  by Eileen36. If you can speak with people who have  already done it or are doing it  right now - you will get good, current advise

Cheers

Thanks, I might have to reapply as it was December 2020 when I received it, I've just been presenting it at customs when I go in and out.
