Kirk, what exactly are you asking for or seeking clarification upon?
Your posts gave been rather vague, non specific, and totally baffling?!

I need to know how easy it is to get a replacement NiE registration proof from the police station. The suma/cl@ve officer said I need paperwork from the police to register?
The paperwork you need from the police is a denuncia to show that you have lost or had stolen the original. You then need to apply for a new NIE in the same way you got your original and show the proof of loss from the police.
Your NIE number is not lost and, indeed, I've never been asked for my physical certificate, simply the number.

Hi Kirkb,
If something has happened to your Spanish NIE (accidently got washed in your washing machine) you can apply for a replacement. You will probably need to report this at your local police station and ask for a statement. In some police stations they may have a computer database and can check your Spanish NIE number, so take your passport with you. A Spanish solicitor can help you with this.
Usually a Spanish NIE is for the rest of your life, even after you are deceased.
