Just to let anybody who may be interested, know and in particular, Kimmy11, I have now attempted to  apply for an appointment by the Internet on 63 occasions (including Sundays Kimmy) only to receive the same message that appointments will resume ‘shortly’.  Wonder if we are talking weeks, months, or even years!

Hello steve

DAF78 is looking for an appointment to  exchange his  residencia card for the  new style TIE card. I did this in Oct/Nov but paid a gestor to help with all form filling, payment,  appts etc & it wasn't too long a wait. If you follow the procedure yourself......obtaining an appt. seems to be the most difficult part.

Cheers

I used someone in San Miguel to do this for me. Gave him my details, appointment the following week and now 7 weeks to wait for the T.I.E card. My wife gave him details at the same time, appointment a few days after mine and now waiting for T.I.E too.

Sorry mine was transfer from existing residency card to T.I.E. obviously easier but the same appointments system.

Hi Steve

Ive read through your previous posts & the replies you got on the subject. It's clear you were here for one week in Nov. when you received the keys to your property, but you were not living here permanantly so  that is not sufficient to qualify for residencia under the withdrawal agreement as Kimmy & others  explained.....you had to live here for several weeks/months and have  many types of  proof to show that , also  you could show proof that you were attempting to aquire your residencia before the end of 2020 while awaiting an appt. in Alicante

I would say your only option is to apply from the UK at the Spanish Embassy for a Visa

Cheers

Hi DAF78,

I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm not surprised.  It took me 3 months, trying every day, to get an appointment for friends at Alicante.  I didn't keep count of the number of my attempts, but I reckon I could add at least one nought to your tally.

Gestors are not supposed to have priority access to the online appointment system, but I can't helping thinking that when they accompany clients to foreigners' offices, they may be able to grab cancellations - that's the only way I can see how they would be able to secure short-notice appointments, unless they're just striking incredibly lucky online.  You could employ a gestor to do this for you, but I'm afraid there's no guarantee that they'll get an appointment for you any quicker - although the aggravation they will save you may be worth their fee!

For you, at least, there's currently no deadline to swap your residencia for a TIE.

Kind regards,

Kim

Are you sure you live in Spain, rewarding your posts I think you may live in Cloud Cuckoo Land, and if you purchased in November then you could have made some very expensive mistakes.

You said to me 'Keep taking the meds' as I said before I do not kneed, but you definitely do as you openly admit to being illegals in Spain, hoping that sometime Spain may change it's mind, you need a dose of reality
