Hi, could anyone point me in the direction of how to pay the non resident tax? It’s our first year of doing it and we haven’t much idea.

Thank you

Hi, we are in the same boat as you, but our solicitor has informed us that non resident tax is due in December and they are taking care of it for us, one other thing is we purchased our property last November 2019 so we will only have to pay 2 months tax, as your non resident tax starts January to December, so if you became non resident this year your tax will not be payable until December 2021, there is Jim’s guides and he recommends a company in Torrevieja who do taxes for 20 Euro each person + what tax you owe. Stay safe and healthy. Peter

Thanks for that Peter, it gives us time to sort things out. I’ll look round for a reasonably priced solicitor here.

Hi, the only reason I mentioned solicitor is they have done everything for us, I am on the understanding that there are cheaper people around, can’t think what their called ? But have a good look around or perhaps someone on here will follow up.

Have a look a "Jim's Guides" in the menu section at the top left of your screen.

Scroll through till you find "Non residents tax".

We used a company which was mentioned in the guide and has been recommended by many on this forum.

Easy, good value and hassle free. Once it's been done once for you, you can always do it yourself the following year.

I used Angar Taxation Services as recommended by Jim's Guides. Really efficient and costs about 20 euros or so and then whatever they work your non resident tax out to be. Much cheaper than your solicitor no doubt.

We use Angar Taxation in Torrevieja too. 20 euro per person, all done online and very quickly. They then contact you annually to ask if you would like their services again, so you don't even have to set yourself a reminder.

This is their web page      http://www.nonresidenttaxes.com/
