Registering for residency in Salinas - please help!

Hi, I'm due to sign for a property tomorrow in Salinas, but a bit worried about being able to get an appointment to get residency after the 3 months to be able to stay in Spain. Has anyone experienced any difficulties with this in this area as theres appears that lots of people are being messed around and sent away. Any indication about how easy the process for this area would be much appreciated
