Hi, I'm looking for information on whether you can walk to the beach from the urbanisation in san fulgencio ? Also is it better to hire a car or rely on Taxis/Buses?

Any information would be helpful.

Thankyou, Chrissie

Hi Chrissie. The beaches in La Marina are lovely, in summer there are regular busses running to the beaches from 8.00am to 6.30 pm about once every hour, they are also very cheap. forget car hire.

Thank you for your reply, we actually go next week & have heard there are no buses. We just wondered if there is a safe route to walk to the beach ??

THE other day while walking my dog, at a bus stop I read the summer time routs to the beach.Sorry things might have changed.

To walk to the beach is a long way, a taxi will cost you about 10e each way in summer.

The bus service to the beach starts around 22nd June normally.

It's quite a long walk to the beach, not too bad going, but uphill coming back. And, of course, some parts of the urbanisation are a lot further from the beach than others.

Taxi is a good option.

Geoff.

You're pretty tough if you can handle walking back up the hill from the beach to the urb in the searing heat of the afternoon. I wouldn't recommend it, even for the youngest and fittest!!

Geoff.

Hi, i posted this last year. You would be better getting a taxi, it is a long way to the beach.

Regards

Chrissy

Hello

No there isn't.... the best you can do is get a bus from Alicante  bus station  that is going to  going to Torrevieja/Pilar de la Horadada. They  will drop you off in La Marina village but you would still need a taxi to go to the urbanisation

Cheers
