Can anyone please tell me to whom I can complain about the disgusting state of the bus station toilets in Torrevieja. I use the term 'toilets' loosely.
I have just come from Alicante bus station where their toilets are quite satisfactory. I know it is a larger station but you they should not offer the facility if they cannot keep them to a usable standard.

Hi Fiona,
Pre-Covid, there was a problem with drunks hanging around the toilets, but following complaints the toilets were cleaned up and a security guard was employed. Sounds like the Town Hall needs a reminder.

Ive lived here 20years & used that bus station a lot during that time. Those toilets have always been awful, dirty, smelly, unsafe - sometimes doors dont lock etc., they are to be avoided if at all possible. When I asked at the office once about lack of paper/soap I was told - It just gets stolen!
The security guards Kim mentioned do work in the bus station, but only organising queueing & safety from moving buses, they pay no attention to the toilets.
The old Mercadona a few doors away had toilets in the car parking area & I assume the newly opened branch across the street from the bus station will also have them.

That's the problem with having the bus station right in the city center. Alicante bus station is far enough away from the center to make it not worthwhile for drunks and junkies etc. This problem will disappear when the new station is built on the CV905
