Just wondering if anyone on the forum knows this complex and of it is any good. It says gated complex and just wondering if it is a nice safe area to buy.

I have pics of the blocks

Thanks.

Hi  Den

If  I  was in  your  shoes   👞   I  would   make it my  business   to  talk  to  people  in Complex.  Walk around  Complex  meet  people  who would  be  sitting  outside   Then contact   President  of  Complex.   I  would  return  in evening  to  see Complex  again  but it might  be quiet  this time  of year

Hi Den

We bought an apartment here last year to use as a holiday home and have not regretted it.
We wanted the security of lock up and leave, that was the first big tick this community offered. It is gated and there is a security guard in the evening and though the night.

My husband has arthritis in both knees and we knew eventually a lift over stairs would be another must have, if we wanted a flat over one of many bungalow and town houses on offer in the area. So that was another selling point for us that there was all be it a small lift.

The president and community look after the estate very well. I have only been to one AGM but I was impressed, did not seem cronieisum was at play. With sensible debates on up coming expenditure of the community fees to keep the urbanisation looking and working at its best. When we contacted them for extra keys and questions re updating work, within our property we received prompt and helpful replies.

There are quiet a few people living in the community full time, made up from all nationalities, so it not just a holiday home vibe and even in the winter it did not feel deserted. Perhaps that is also why they also look after the community so well.

Everyone we have meet so far has been friendly saying hello and a few having or tried to have a conversation where the language barrier allowed 😁

I can only speak for the block our flat is within, but we have found them to be very considerate neighbours. Couple underneath us, have a teenager and music is turned off or down low enough we can’t here it at 9.00 pm.  No disturbing noise from the block opposite either after the sun went down.  Of course in the summer, children and some adults, can be noisy around the pool but that’s what it’s there for and they are not init all night.
Roads around the community are clean swept and washed. No dog or cat mess etc. Cleaners are in the communal areas of the blocks weekly and do a great job from what we have seen.

We have always hired a car and have bikes in an effort to be a bit fit, but the bus stop outside is regularly serviced with buses going around the urbanisation and down to Torrevieja.

At the back of the community is a locked entrance to the natural park and La Mata or blue lake. Great for cycling and walking and bird watching. We are not twitchers lol but did meet a few last year on a stroll down to La Mata beach. Takes about 45 - 50 mins walking to reach La Mata proper but we have cycled it in 20.

There are a few bars, restaurants well within striking distance of the community to choose from as well as shops for essentials.

If your looking in the San Luis, Elle Chaparral and La Siesta area, I would certainly recommend viewing the community, alongside the many other property types, you will find in the area.

Good luck in your search 😁

Thanks will hopefully arrange a trip out soon to view the area, we have saw a flat online in one of the blocks but it seems to have a bit of damage (a section of broken ripped out tiles in living room heading through to other rooms) doesn't bother us too much though just looking for somewhere safe and clean.

Thanks for your detailed opinion.

I am sure you will find your perfect bolt hole soon. There are plenty of great places around the urbanisation and surrounding areas and it’s a great place to relax for a holiday so don’t forget to take time and do that when your over too.
