Help, what have I done.....I have used the lawyer recommended by the estate agent. I have been reading that you must find an independent lawyer.

Both seem professional and efficient with completion soon to take place. Should I be worried?

Thanks Pete. Whilst you mentioned fiscal representation, we are being offered this by the lawyer for 180 euros plus 50euros certification charges fir a year. Does this seem right?

My fiscal charges are 70E per annum. If the property is in joint names 150e doesn't sound too bad as it's 2 tax returns. If one name 150e is expensive

Thanks for that. Yes in joint name so doesn't sound too bad.

Don’t worry there are good people to keep you right .... We were told by ours that we needed special private healthcare which we didn’t .... I think the rule here is not to part with any money until completely satisfies also the lawyer usually works separately from the estate agent .... I have bitter experience so I am bias I wouldn’t use the estate agents lawyer again ...
