Registering S1 in Spain

Hi Jane,

I know a lady who  intends starting this procedure next week, she (and  myself) are under the impressions she has to make an online appt. to take her S1 to the INSS for registration & then receive the reciept to take to the salud to be registered with a Dr. You say you have to register it online, can I ask where you got this info from &  get the link, also how you get your receipt?  Sorry this doesnt help you,  but if you look on their website, there is a virtual assistant (ISSA) to answer questions etc, maybe that could help.

We went to the INSS office in Torrevieja and they gave us a link and phone number. The link only works if you have an electronic certificate and we don't. I went online and found an English version of an appointment request but can't get past page 2 of 4.

Ok thanks, so you are also trying to get an appt. She  has an appt next week with a gestor to assist with residencia application & I'm going with her, if she gets anymore  info regarding her SI registration, I will post it on here.

There wasn't an option to move to page 3

If you get the following message it means there aren't any appointments available near the location you've selected:

• Lo sentimos, no existe disponibilidad en los próximos días para el servicio solicitado. Si lo desea, puede intentar de nuevo su búsqueda volviendo a la pantalla anterior y eligiendo otra ubicación.

Thanks Jim for taking the time to reply. Unfortunately I couldn't get past page 2 of 4 on the appointment application form. I think I'm going to get someone to do it for me. 

The message I quoted appears on page 2 when you click to go to page 3, but there aren't any appointments available.

The only option then is to keep trying from time to time, or to see if there are any appointments available in other locations.
