Hi it’s Marilyn

I joined this forum last November when we decided to make our move to Spain a few years earlier than planned. Unfortunately the property market in the UK was flat and only now is the sale of our house going through. Terry and I hope to move within the next 4/5 weeks to San Luis.We will need lots of help and advice which I know is somewhere on the forum. The most pressing question we have is recommendations on removal companies from the UK to San Luis. Has anybody done it recently. Thanks in advance. I will try looking for advice on past posts but please be patient with me if I ask something already answered or direct me to the correct place.

It's some years ago, but we used the following, who have one of their depots in Catral:

http://www.moversint.co.uk/

Very efficient and pleasant, and not a single item damaged or broken.

Just a suggestion - work out roughly how many cubic metres your shipment will be, and ask the above and a few of the other companies recommended on this forum for a price. That way, you'll be able to compare like for like.

That's kind of you, Marilyn. Some of us do meet up from time to time. My problem as far as that is concerned is that I live out in the sticks, so meets tend to be infrequent.

Whatever, I hope the move goes well for you. And then you'll have all the fun of coping with Spanish bureaucracy!
