Hi there,

I am looking to move to SMdS at the beginning of next year. Is there public transport in the area?

 Thanks,

P.

For questions of this nature it's always best to start with the town hall website:

Thank you although I'm not seeing any bus routes going through San Miguel here. Am I missing it?

You're not digging far enough - Spanish private company websites aren't the easiest to negotiate.

I only had time to follow the Costa Azul link. Go to the following, click on Torrevieja - Orihuela, and you get a pop-up showing that route.

http://costazul.net/en/intercity-services/

If you click on Origin, scroll down and click on San Miguel de Salina. Then click in destination, select which one you want to go to, select date and type of trip, click Continue, and you get a timetable. I'd click one-way for type of trip - it gets confused if you tell it you want to go there and back the same day.

There is a hourly (i believe) service via Costa Azul (as per previous respoindent) to Torrevieja in one direction and Orihuela in the other.
