Hi i am new to the area and i am looking for information about car hire insurance

Can i get annual hire cover in uk or spain so i dont have to take out insurance from the car hire company

All hire cars come with the main insurance included, it is a legal requirement of the rental firm.

If what you are referring to is the Collision Damage Waiver insurance, CDW, then I strongly recommend https://www.icarhireinsurance.com/ as they provide annual, European, multi-trip CDW cover for around £40. I use this myself for car hire in Spain and the UK

I use the same as above

Please be aware though you will still need to leave a huge deposit on your card when you pick the car up. The hire companies don't recognise this insurance. So if you damage their carespective, they charge your card and then you claim it through the Insurance. Straightforward process

Yes you can buy a policy in the UK Covering you for Spain. We’ve just brought one costing £45 for the year. Wish we’d known about it before. Saving us a fortune. It’s called Insurance4carhire and was recommended in Good Housekeeping magazine.
