Hello

I have a place on Mirador near Cheers Bar and am looking for a good Internet provider - I don't need a TV package as I have my own satellite system

Somebody suggested AVATEL but I have seen bad reports of the company - bad service, lack of customer service etc.

I also looked at Viga but again not too impressed. I only come out on several times a year for month at a time so having a monthly cost is not economically viable.

Any advice/suggestions would be most welcome

Hi Peter,

We use Vega Fibra in San Miguel who I believe offer holiday packages? We're not resident but havevfull time contract; 50Mips/€20pm. Installed 18mth ago and we've had no problems at all. Might be worth a visit?

What are your requirements in terms of speeds ?

If you only need basic internet browsing, emails etc then I use DVBLAB, this is a wifi system not fibre.

I too have a holiday home.

App €160 installation then €19pm, turn on/off as required which is easily done prior to your arrival, friendly company with good customer service.

My tv is also provided by a sat dish but my smart tv has YouTube, Netflix, Rakuten etc, 10mb speed provided easily streams these with no buffering.

We have used them for 6 years.

Just put my price up from €19 per month to a daylong charge because of Brexit 90/180 Schengen rule applies

My month will now cost €38

Are you on a pay as you package, and are charged £38 per month, regardless of how many days in the month you are actually in Spain and using it?

Can anyone recommend internet provider. We are swallows...come and go to Spain as the Schengen allows. We used to pay annually but now have it put on while we are in residence. Viga Fibra told me yesterday it will be charged daily to now be €38 was €19 per month.
I expected at rise of 10% to 15% Due to inflation. There must be many non residents who are in the same boat as we are. Just looking for a fair rate.

Shame they have taken this step. We have been with them for 6 years and always found them good. I just think it’s a short sighted decision not to offer holiday rates to loyal customers.
