I have just been told that it is now acceptable to take a passenger in your car to help with food shopping.

Also that both driver and passenger must wear masks and the passenger to be on the rear seat.

Can anyone confirm this?

Message still hasn't got through to the late 20's Spanish couple who arrived together in my local Mercadonna car park this morning then stood patiently side by side in the queue until the security guard appraised them of the error of their ways. Couldn't really hear the conversation but they did seemed surprised and ready to argue but the guard was firm with them

He went to sit in the car but then they seemed to change their minds and swapped places.

Lucky they separated because the Guardia took a cruise around ths car park a few minutes later.

I have been told this as well.  Police stopped a friend of ours taking his partner to a hospital appointment. She was told to sit in the back behind the front passenger seat and both should wear masks. They inquired if it was acceptable to travel to the supermarket like this and the policeman agreed it was.

Anyway i will be trying it out this weekend as i need diesel fuel and the wife can do the shopping in Alcampo.

Clarification regarding "two in a car". (also information regarding to the airport)
