Hello ~ I am new to the area, and would like to find someone local who plays badminton (friendlies) and would be happy to share the driving to and from the club?

Hi.  I posted a similar request for badminton partners last month but did not get any replies.  Did you sort out your badminton search for venues and players?

Hi PaddyW

You do not need a partner at either of the clubs as players changed every game. The organizers try to get evenly balanced games

Please note the amended times in my previous post.

Thank you for your reply.  I contacted the organisers of the Pilar club and was told that they stopped for the summer which is when I will be in Spain.  The Guadamar club would be quite a long journey from where I have my house. I live half way between San Javier and Murcia city.  This is a journey of nearly 70km each way.

Do you know of any options closer?

Thank you

PaddyW

Hii PaddyW

You could try the Badminton Cub at San Pedro Del Pinitar. Don't know much about them other than they are very competitive

I know that the Pilar club stops for 2 months in the summer but what happens to all the players during this time.  I presumed that informal groups would start up to cover this period.
