I have recently bought a house in San Miguel, the under build toilet and sinks in showers and basins are taped  , covered with stoppers and the toilet covered in plastic .. it’s a holiday home that’s not used but is it normal to keep sinks  plugged up for bugs - roaches etc ?

Do I need to get house checked and treated before moving in .. the house is clean and under sinks tidy .. no signs of infestation

"No signs of infestation"

That will be because of all the measures being taken to stop cockroaches coming up from the drains.

We, as many others do, keep plugs in the sinks, baths and showers etc when not in use. We also plug up the overflow holes too....

Cockroaches go anywhere they can, it's an old wives tale that they only go into dirty places.
