yesterday I was told by a neighbour, that San Miguel Council have authorised the building of a Crematorium in the middle of San Miguel!. Is this true or was he taking the Mick!?
Hi Philozzie, and welcome to the Forum.
I dont see anything on The Town Hall Website referring to it.

Good find .
A bit of a real 'Wake' up call for the neighbours living above .
The value of their homes will plummet.

Steve, I think it goes without saying that if you bought an upper floor apartment and the ground floor was then opened as a premises that held Wakes containing corpses, then the value of your apartment would plummet due to the limited number of people who would then be willing to buy and move in above the business. No ?

Les, I didn’t see where the 2 rooms are going to be below somebody’s living accommodation - I read it as new building being built solely for the Wake rooms!
If the accommodation above is already domestic living space then it goes without saying that their value will plummet - astronomically!!

If you buy in an appartment block and the ground floor us vacant you hav3 no control. The original developer has built his apartments and is now offering the ground floor to developers. The ground floor can become anything from a car park to funeral rooms.

Yes, that is exactly what the printed Article, when read fully, is stating. Still not good for the upper floor occupiers though ,
